After nearly four weeks in Quito, our shipment has finally arrived!! There are several items I am thrilled to finally have including a down comforter, Maia's dog bed, a good supply of toiletries that I've been craving and a few other random items. But, after spending 2 months with a very limited wardrobe, I'm shocked how well I've gotten along without all those clothes! My wardrobe literally tripled today and I don't know where to put everything and I don't really want to deal with it. I am shaking my head at the amount of stuff we sent down. This experience is truly helping me to realize how little we actually need to be very happy. It's embarrassing to have this much stuff. I will need to find a donation center soon to help me find my balance again.
We also don't have any bookshelves or anything yet, so I don't have anywhere to put the many framed photos and other personal items. The minimalist in me just got very overwhelmed!
Maia is very pleased to have her bed!
Well, if that’s the case, I think you should try to find an extra storage space for the stuff you’ve mentioned. Decluttering is a practical habit as it can help you keep things tidy and organized, and you can even gain more space in the process. And for that bookshelf, I think it’d be great if you’ll try to make a small shelf on your own by following those DIY tips online. I bet it’ll help you to solve this. Good luck!
